SIX TIMES WAS NOT ENOUGH. Dr. Samuel Loomis was psychiatric doctor assigned to one Michael Myers after the boy attacked his older sister Judith on Halloween night in 1963. There are many versions of this character, but for the purposes of this video, I'll be focusing on Dr. Loomis from the original timeline, which includes Halloween, Halloween II, Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers and Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.

In this video we will analyze his behavior in order to better understand his motivations, how his life was forever altered, and how he became obsessed with stopping his masked adversary: Michael Myers.

I'll start with Loomis's earliest known details, then discuss his time taking care of Michael at Smith's Grove Sanitarium from 1963-1978. This time period is only documented in the non-canon Chaos Comics Halloween issues which are not considered canon, so I won't officially be counting them as part of his story, however, most of it is non-contradictory, and it can be interesting to discuss to help potentially understand his motivations.

In Horror History, I analyze everything in the canon, in this case, the canon of the original timeline, which includes the first five Michael Myers focused Halloween films.
