In our next build I created the out-of-box 1/48th scale Vought F4U-1D Corsair.
Well covered by many scale modelers and available in several variations to buy.

Straight forward build, fitting with minimal sandig as Tamiya is known for, very beginner friendly build. Cockpit has nice details and you get some figurines and a tractor with this kit, which I did omit for now.

You could glue on the canopy to the fuselage before adding primer and colors, which will give it a more smooth and even final result. So, in my example, I did redo it with an aluminium/steel finish, as the initial blue spare color looked off.

The large decals were very thick. Do yourself a favor and spray it on with some aftermarket masks, it will look much better then using the thick large decals.

Colors are from Tamiya, MRP and Ammo. Laquers MR Color and MRP.

The mask was from Kitmasx Canada, do check them out if you intend to build Tamiya and Hasegawa kits, as well as others :-)

It´s a great beginner kit with good details and solid quality.
