Today I want to share with you how to sew an elegant A-line dress with a cute little slit.

Personally I love a charming tweed dress, it’s so refined and elegant while still being minimalistic in the shape and form. So, inspired by iconic Chanel dresses, I wanted to create another version of it with an oval neckline, a classy A-line skirt that has an overlap with a slight slit, decorated with some pretty tweed fringe.

Here are the materials you’ll need:
1.2-1.65 m (1 3/8 - 1 7/8 yds) woven fabric
1.2-1.6 m (1 3/8 - 1 7/8 yds) interfacing
1.2-1.6 m (1 3/8 - 1 7/8 yds) lining
60 cm x 1 cm (24" x 3/8") fusible stay tape
2 m x 1.5 cm (79 x 5/8") twill tape
Invisible zipper 56 cm (22”)
