The Little Violet Blossoms (2018)

The Little Violet Blossoms showcases the inspiring story of St. Claudine Thevenet during the French Revolution, in a modern contemporary context. The protagonist, 14-year-old Glady Sequeira, faces the tragic loss of her parents in a robbery gone wrong. What follows next is Glady’s struggle to cope with this loss juxtaposed with St. Claudine’s own life story during the French Revolution. As Glady’s life draws parallels with St. Claudine, she learns some valuable life lessons from the teachings of St. Claudine Thevenet. As St. Claudine was fondly known as ‘The Little Violet’, through Glady’s journey, we see her blossom into an individual filled with love and compassion who manages to cope with the loss of her parents by drawing inspiration from the life and teachings of St. Claudine Thevenet.
