Michael E. Keller mentions this movie on page 162 in his excellent book "The Graham Legacy: Graham-Paige to 1932." But how many of you have ever had the chance to see a vintage Graham-Paige movie?

Until I bought this film print in 2003, I didn't even know that any of these films had survived.

But here it is in all it's animated glory. Because that's what it is mostly: a crudely animated demonstration of G-P's four-speed transmission. Today, you would create a presentation like this in PowerPoint or Flash, but back in 1928, industrial movies were state of the art.

I have one question for all of you G-P fans and classic car spotters: what is the Graham-Paige model pictured here? I can't quite figure it out, because all the cars from the 1920s look the same to me. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Last thing: this is a silent movie, so don't try to crank up your speakers. I didn't add any audio to the presentation.
