Colorado Springs Must-Visit: Airplane Restaurant

Описание к видео Colorado Springs Must-Visit: Airplane Restaurant

OBSCURIST TOURIST 006 - Beside the airport in Colorado Springs sits one of the most unique dinner (or lunch) destinations you'll likely ever see. It also happens to be one of the city's most popular restaurants. And why not? Who hasn't always wanted to eat a bison burger inside a giant 1950s United States Air Force Tanker Aircraft?
I drove all day from Lincoln, Nebraska to Colorado Springs and, full disclosure, I was exhausted when I arrived at The Airplane Restaurant and made this video.
That being said, I now realize I made a few incorrect statements while filming.
1) This is NOT a WWII transport plane. This behemoth is actually a post-WII Boeing KC-97 tanker aircraft.
2) The Airplane Restaurant did not open up in 1953. This KC-97 was actually BUILT in 1953, while the restaurant itself (originally named Solo's) opened in 2001.
Now that that's all out in the open, enjoy!
