Totalitarianism is a colossal lie

Totalitarianism is seen as this key catalyst of the tragedies of the 20th century, as the spectre that had unleashed untold tragedies upon mankind, personified in these notorious totalitarian regimes. It’s supposedly malicious characteristics are tirelessly recited and regurgitated by all anti-communist crusaders alike, with Jordan Peterson as the central figurehead and “thought leader”, presented as incredibly profound revelations by freedom-loving people who reject tyranny, authority and supposedly cynical and naive attempts of establishing “heaven on earth” - attempts that will, according to them, inevitably summon hell.

In the following video essay, we shall examine these brave accusations by looking at the supposedly profound contemporary conceptions of totalitarianism including the comparison with religion, the allegations of utopianism, the phenomenon of personality cults and absolute power, conceptions of authoritarianism and the so-called horseshoe theory - culminating in an uncompromising conclusion about the true nature of this supposed totalitarian tyranny and exposing the uninformed, cynical and deceptive demaguery of it’s loudest proponents. @JordanBPeterson
