Tamiya Lunchbox painting the body shell

Описание к видео Tamiya Lunchbox painting the body shell

The Tamiya Lunchbox is an iconic radio controlled car kit originally dating back to the 1980's.
Step back in time with us as we build this little monster truck.
In this video I paint and detail the body shell.
The body comes in several different parts. In the chrome section you have the cosmetic bumpers, side exit exhaust/ rock runners and of course the front grille area including headlight holes. The headlights actually have provision for a lighting kit which is super cool.
The main body is a single piece that comes white, you have to spray it. You could hand paint it but it wouldn't look so good. Classic box art is the yellow but you can paint it any colour you want!
The other bits are clear plastic, you have the windscreen, sun roof and little headlamp clear covers. These either clip or screw in to the body.
The instructions give colour codes for detailing, this includes silver/ chrome for the door handles, orange for the indicators and black for the window rubbers - you need a more steady hand for this than mine, or meticulous masking off.
I think after all this work i'd better get a basher body, it looks so nice and I'm pretty sure it will roll in the first minute of driving it! If I don't crash it my son definitely will!
Thanks for watching, Catch the next video for electronics and driving!
