A Sudoku Whose Centre Is A Black Hole!

** TODAY'S PUZZLE **
OK, we get to do a lot of amazing puzzles on this channel but sometimes something so original just takes our breath away. Michael Lefkowitz' Event Horizon is one such puzzle. The whole idea is quite mad but the execution and brilliance (especially of one particular deduction) is something you'll probably never forget if you solve it. Very very special.

Rules:
Normal sudoku rules apply. The value of a digit inside the black dot (i.e. box 5) is double its normal value. Digits in a cage do not repeat, and their values sum to the number in the cage's upper left corner. A clue outside the grid gives the sum of the values along the indicated diagonal. Values on a pink line form a consecutive non-repeating set.
