Freshly designed in SolidWorks, this chess set features unique chess pieces that plug into the board tiles. This is very helpful for obsessive and compulsive chess players like myself that need to have the pieces exactly aligned... and on every turn! :) :)

Visualized in 3D using the Unreal Engine and the Sequencer animation tools to keyframe the pieces moving, and a simple particle effect for the light trails. The chess game in the video animations is important as its a recreation of the 1956 “Game of the Century”.

For the uninitiated, the “Game of the Century” is one of the greatest chess games in all of chess history and likely the greatest game ever played by a junior. The 26-year-old international master Donald Byrne took on the young, 13-year-old Bobby Fischer in what would become one of the most famous chess games ever played.

The video animation is lengthy but covers a fly-around view, and both play perspectives of Donald and Bobby’s moves, and broken down into two-second intervals between moves.
