Henry Tropi-Cool 887 - A Study in Heat Reduction on a Eureka Truck Camper

For those not familiar with Henry Tropic-Cool, it has been around for decades and is considered the best product for reducing heat on metal roofs from sun exposure. It is 100% silicone and much like the oven mitts made from the same material, heat just doesn't pass through it very well. It's also bright white so it's quite reflective also. Add the fact that it sticks like glue and is 100% waterproof and you've got the ideal coating for any RV with a metal roof. I'm not sure about other surfaces that it is compatible with but I know it's the coating of choice for all the school bus conversions. It's also the most expensive at around $65 for 0.9 gallons. It's a bit difficult to apply especially if you can't stand on the roof as was my case. That being said, this video will attempt to document the incredible effectiveness of the product. Every attempt was made to keep variables to a minimum but taking measurements over several days with almost constant temperatures and variable cloud cover makes the data very interesting if not perfectly precise.
