Hey, it's Butter. In this video, I'm going to teach you how to quickly charge a gauge when using Karakuri staff. Let’s go.

I mainly use a mouse and keyboard, but I'm going to show you the controls for Xbox controllers first.

I'm not going to discuss all the basics as there are already tons of guides out there for that. Instead, I'm going to show you what I do to charge my gauge as quick as possible.

The standard way to build your gauge is to morph after your character glows. However, this process requires repeating the action multiple times, and the long animations make it time-consuming to build just one charge.

For the first method, we will use the Box Basic Karakuri. This technique only requires 1 Celestial Thread and gives you 2 charges after the combo. You can see me using this technique during my Amaterasu fight.

To do this,

1st - you need to craft 1 box,
2nd - get on the box, move forward to do the jump
3rd - while on air, hit Y or the attack button and it will do a downward attack
4th - Hit the Right Trigger and it will do a spinning attack which will give you 2 charges

you can cancel the downtime by crafting another box or by rolling

this will allow you to quickly charge your gauge and unleash Juggernaut blade.

Now for the second method, this combination requires the celestial anchor and also grants 2 charges after the combo.

to do this,

1st - conjure celestial anchor and jump on it to activate
2nd - jump by pressing RB+B
3rd - QUICKLY, hit Y button or light attack to cancel the jumping animation and lastly
4th - hit the right trigger and it will do a shuriken toss which will give you 2 charges.

Note that the celestial anchor thread cheese is gone after the patch, but you can still jump infinitely with some extra steps. To do this, you need to cancel the jumping animation as quickly as possible so that the celestial anchor doesn't break. Otherwise, it will bend and could be destroyed if used multiple times. I'm not sure if this is intended, but that's how it works after the recent update.

repeat this combo multiple times until you get full charge and unleash the big sword.
