Allett Verticut Cartridge for the Allett Stirling

In this video we discuss the use of our verticut cartridge in the Allett Stirling. The verticut cartridge consists of star-shaped blades that cut into the thatch layer of the grass. The verticut cartridge serves a different purpose compared to the scarifier cartridge which is gentler and removes loose material. The verticut cartridge on the other hand cuts into the thatch more aggressively creating slots that improve drainage and allow water and air to penetrate the soil. By removing material from the slots it reduces thatch build-up. The verticut cartridge can be set at different depths allowing for over-seeding and controlling weed grasses. We recommend using it in optimal growing conditions and fertilising afterwards to help the grass recover.
