The Young and the Restless spoilers confirm that Claire Grace (Haley Erin) is indeed a Newman-Howard, the daughter of Cole Howard (J Eddie Peck)
and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). This revelation threatens to tear the Newman family apart.

The source that confirmed it is indisputable because it's the showrunner, Josh Griffith, that said it's true. Despite the initial skepticism, Cole argues that Claire truly believes she is his and Victoria's presumed dead daughter, Eve Nicole Howard on Y&R.

Named after her grandmothers, Eve Howard (Margaret Mason) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), the young woman's existence may not be well received by Nikki, who has recently relapsed into alcoholism on the CBS soap opera.

The storyline uncovers that Claire - or Eve - has been manipulated by Jordan Howard since childhood, leading to her disturbed behavior. We'll dig into Josh Griffith's inspiration for this twisted Young & Restless storyline.

Griffith also revealed that Cole, played by J Eddie Peck, will be sticking around for a while to deal with the revelation that his daughter has been alive all this time on the CBS soap opera.

Despite Claire's actions towards her grandmother, Nikki Newman, Griffith sees her as "absolutely redeemable". This sets the stage for a potential Newman family rift and further chaos in the lives of the characters on Young and the Restless.
