What turned out to be another blow-out for the Braves as they pick up 9 runs in the game, Home Runs from Chipper Jones (13) a 2-run HR in the 1st, and Steve Avery helps his own cause hitting his first HR of the season in the 2nd inning, (4th career) and David Justice hits his 10th HR in the 3rd as the Braves play long-ball.
Steve Avery has a good outing pitching 7 innings allowing 4 runs on 6 hits with only 1 strike-out while walking 2 and earns his 4th win of the season. While Mark Portugal with the loss only lasts 2 innings, giving up 7 runs on 8 Braves hits.
