出雲市立平田中学校吹奏楽部委嘱作品。 これまでの「架空の～」シリーズ的な作品だが明確なストーリーはなく、古き良き時代の「イタリアオペラ」的なテイストをほんの少し織り交ぜ、全編表現豊か(エスプレッシーヴォ)に書かれた作品。

What I kept in mind for this composition was a taste of Italian opera from the good old days, and the entire piece is espressivo. You may create your own story if you would like, or you can treat it like absolute music. Whatever approach and interpretation you might have, do not forget that the music is "espressivo" throughout.
