A County Auditor plays the vital role of Fiscal Officer of a County with oversight responsibility of all financial books and records. It is the Auditor's job to provide a system of checks and balances so as to ensure no part of government is without accountability in complying with the State's statutes. Our guest today is Rick Faccin, the Auditor of Madison County, Illinois. Prior to his election as Auditor, Mr. Faccin was a long time Director of Catholic Charities, a position for which he received numerous awards for his service to the agency. From 1994 thru 2000, he served as a member of the Madison County Board. Today, we are going to learn more about what this Auditor does and what he hopes to accomplish in the future.
