Metal Slug 6 (Arcade) - Longplay

The first few stages were promising in Metal Slug 6, but then things changed. The brutality gets cranked to maximum and you're gonna be dying nonstop. The floating brain in a jar boss in the sewer is the worst example. I swear it took me five minutes to beat that guy. There must be some trick that I couldn't figure out or something. There's new enemies, which is nice, and the final boss is a cool change of pace from other Metal Slug final bosses.

Metal Slug 6 is the sixth installment in the iconic Metal Slug series, a fast-paced, run-and-gun arcade game developed by SNK Playmore. Released in 2006, it marked a shift from the Neo Geo hardware to Sega's Atomiswave arcade system, introducing enhanced graphics, smoother gameplay, and new mechanics while maintaining the series' signature 2D art style and chaotic action.

Set in a war-torn world, players join the Peregrine Falcon Strike Force and the Sparrows, elite military units battling against General Morden’s rebel army and a returning alien threat. The game features six playable characters—Marco, Tarma, Eri, Fio, and newcomers Ralf and Clark from *King of Fighters*—each with unique abilities and specialties, such as Ralf's extra durability and Clark's grab attacks.

The gameplay retains the series' signature formula of intense shooting, rescuing hostages, and piloting various vehicles, including tanks and mechs. Metal Slug 6 introduces new features, such as a weapon stock system allowing players to carry and switch between multiple weapons, and two difficulty modes: *Easy*, which simplifies the game with increased weapon power, and *Hard*, which provides a more traditional challenge.

Notable for its humor, fluid animations, and over-the-top action, Metal Slug 6 also expands the storyline with new enemy types, massive bosses, and cooperative multiplayer, making it a celebrated entry in the franchise for fans of classic arcade shooters.
