Solar Imaging: Quark versus Herschel Wedge

Описание к видео Solar Imaging: Quark versus Herschel Wedge

In this video, we are going to observe the sun first hand – SAFELY. In fact, I am so impressed by one of these I am going to buy one myself.

First we’ll talk about observing the sun safely and some practices to keep your eyes and camera intact.

We’ll then set up the Daystar Quark and observe and then image prominences and sunspots with a ZWO ASI224MC camera.

We’ll use a ZWO tilt adaptor to get rid of Newton’s Rings.

We’ll then switch over to the Baader Herschel Wedge to observe and then image sunspots.

Which one is worth getting? Stay to the end!

My thanks to Nigel Davison for the loan of the Quark and Herschel Wedge and a shout out to @Dave’s Astrophotography.
