Thornton Township Supervisor Tiffany Henyard called a Special Meeting on December 5, but it was boycotted by Trustees Carmen Carlisle and Chris Gonzalez who do not want to be forced into a voting situation for appointing a trustee to replace Jerry Jones. (Jones resigned in October.)

Without a quorum, Henyard used the opportunity to speak to the public and the media.
