Rules Lawyer Teaches Board Games: FOOD CHAIN MAGNATE! (Game 1 - an unfinished "learning game")

My passion is TEACHING, and I LOVE BOARD GAMES. I am both a lawyer and a teacher of tabletop RPGs (D&D, Pathfinder, etc.) to middle- and high-school students. Here is a first video in what will hopefully be a series where I teach strategy board games!

My channels so far have been focused on the tabletop roleplaying game Pathfinder 2nd Edition, which emphasizes tactics and teamwork as well as character customization. I thought that players of PF2e would like some of the board games that I love, which are usually on the "heavy" end and strategy focused.

Here I "teach as we go" the competitive economic board game FOOD CHAIN MAGNATE, by the esteemed designers of SPLOTTER SPELLEN, who have a cult following. We ran out of time in this first game, but the players were intrigued and were all-in to have another game where they could use all the lessons they learn here!

(I used Tabletop Simulator for this "teach" instead of the much-preferred BoardGameCore online implementation, so that people could absorb how the "Dinnertime" phase works.)
