Recently, the governments of India and Uzbekistan signed a bilateral investment treaty in Tashkent. This treaty was signed by the Finance Minister of India and the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan. Its purpose is to increase trust between the investors of both the countries and make investments safe. This will strengthen bilateral economic relations. This treaty will provide protection to the investors of both the countries as per minimum standards. In this, their investments will be protected from any kind of discrimination, illegal acquisition and unnecessary risk.

In other section, Recently, the second edition of the Indian Ocean Rim Association seminar was held. It was organized at the Naval War College in Goa. On this occasion, 17 members of the association participated. The members discussed issues related to illegal, undeclared and unregulated fishing. They also talked about legal measures to deal with their economic, environmental and security-related challenges.
