Ennio Morricone - Ecstasy of Gold (fingerstyle guitar)

Classic Ennio Morricone tune, from the movie "The Good The Bad and The Ugly". When "The Ugly" was running around Sad Hill Cemetery looking for Arch Stanton's grave. Who doesn't want to play this tune?!

There weren't many solo guitar arrangements around, I particularly liked Luciano Renan's version, but I wasn't keen on some of his neck positions so I changed them. I also stayed in my style, I didn't want to make an epic out of this, keep it simple for me!

I really wanted to have a really clean flawless play through; I played it every day for weeks, I tried to record it a few times, and even this take was probably the 10th attempt in one sitting. Hence the big "sigh" at the start, which I though fit really well :-) I did chop one or two errors out of the audio for the listeners, but there are plenty of errors still left in it for the guitarists, it's not easy to play clean and flawless. Still human.
