The Entrepreneurship Education in Africa (EEA) Summit explores and celebrates excellence and new approaches in youth entrepreneurship education and support. Educators, investors, policymakers and entrepreneurs from across Africa gather annually in Johannesburg at the African Leadership Academy campus to delve deeper into entrepreneurship education and see the important work of very young entrepreneurs and the ecosystem that supports their efforts.

The CEO of African Leadership Academy, Hatim Eltayeb, addressed the importance of investing in young African entrepreneurs to drive economic growth and stability in the continent. He emphasized the need for education, community building, and the creation of a supportive ecosystem for entrepreneurship. Eltayeb highlighted the urgency of addressing youth unemployment, which is nearing or exceeding 50% in many African countries. He also pointed out that traditional education pathways will not be sufficient to meet the growing needs of the continent, and that entrepreneurship is a key lever for Africa's transformation. Eltayeb called for collaboration among educators, parents, policymakers, and investors to back young entrepreneurs and build a movement that will shape an ecosystem conducive to entrepreneurship.
