During the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) markup, Republicans openly attacked diversity in military academy admissions.

Their blatant attempt to strip race-conscious admissions was met by stiff opposition from Congressman Steven Horsford, Congresswoman Terri Sewell, Congressman Marc Veasey, and other Democrats.
