It has been a milder winter across western Washington so far this year, which has caused some Seattle neighborhoods to see flowers blooming early.

From daffodils to some species of cherry trees, early signs of spring could be seen scattered across some corners of Washington Park Arboretum in Seattle on Friday afternoon. And several walkers in the park told KOMO News they're seeing plants sprouting months early in their neighborhoods, too.

"Lots of the magnolia trees around here are blooming early, so these giant purple flowers," Megan Larsen said. "And then there are a couple of plants at my house; jasmine and hostas that are blooming early, too."
