Here is a beautiful stabilized hybrid buckeye burl resin book matched set. This set is vacuum infused with dyed stabilizing resin, so the color goes all the way through. In many sets, we apply multiple colors of dyed resin. Stabilizing is a process of vacuum infusing heat resin that is heat cured to harden and stabilize wood. The wood becomes more durable and easier to machine, mill, sand and polish. We recommend West Systems 2 part epoxy for gluing and laminating. Stabilizing wood does not fill in voids or cracks. So please look closely at the entire set. The pictures will show a combination of different views of the front side. This set is sanded flat on both sides to 60 grit. It is dry and ready to use. The template is for size reference only. These pieces are not cut into any shape.
Edges have been precisely edge sanded 4 edges to 180 grit.

Just about any finish can be used. I use Minwax wipe on polyurethane or any other non alcohol based finishes. In my experience, polyurethane finishes have given me the best results. Please test your finishes on a scrap piece before applying to your final project.
