On Board A 1967 Victoria Line Train Carriage

Описание к видео On Board A 1967 Victoria Line Train Carriage

At the Walthamstow Pumphouse Museum, which offers free entry on Sundays, you can spot some 1967 Victoria Line carriages, the first generation of trains that ran on the line before they were replaced with the current 2009 stock. One of them looks like they would have done when first in service with an aluminium body, old moquette, and line diagrams, which even include a central line one, where as the other looks when they went out of service, even though their line diagrams are actually more modern with the inclusion of the Lea Valley Overground lines. That one also had some strange fake maps and no smoking roundels, presumably for some sort of teaching purposes. There's many other great features at the museum, but for me, the old Victoria Line carriages steal the show.. (You can even dine on them on certain nights.) It's a brilliant place to visit to head back in time and reminisce about old journeys on the Victoria Line and I would recommend visiting if you're in the Walthamstow area.
