Thixotropic Joint Filler

Thixotropic Joint Filler is a multiuse product for joint filling, anchoring, and grouting. Methods of application vary from hand guns to sophisticated pumps with integral mixers, water meters and delivery systems. The following video serves to demonstrate it's major use as a Joint Filler between precast structural elements on site. Finishing is usually by steel trowel however the film shows an effective and acceptable finish using a sponge. Curing in high temperatures and windy conditions is essential and is usually carried out using Polycure or any traditional curing medium or practice

Thixotropic joint Filler has BES 6001 accreditation and is an LUL Approved product.

Product performance for this non shrink product gives compressive strength gains of 35N/mm2 at 1 day to typically 70N/mm2 at 28days. Setting times are the same as normal cement mixes however thixotropy sets up quickly and finishing can take place within 20 minutes on average.

This product has been used on many large precast jobs in addition to the one shown. One in particular, at the West of England University in Exeter, saved 5 crane days allowing major cost savings and much quicker erection and following on trades.
