DIY Cowgirl Flare Jeans - How To Make Bell bottoms

You can buy flare jeans in the store, but when you make them yourself, you can add more of your personal style to your flares. You can use anything from the red bandana material as I used here for a western look, to floral prints, to tie-dye fabric for a hippie look. You can even just use a contrasting color of denim without the fabric overlay.

*** Thanks to Glory Grace K. For noticing that I accidentally cut out the hemming part of the video. So inserting a note about it here. You should hem the bottom of the insert before you sew it into the jeans, so it doesn't unravel. Or if you're short like me, I had to cut off the bottom of the jeans anyway to make them fit, so I just hemmed around the entire bottom of both the jeans and the insert all at once.

MATERIALS USED:
Jeans
Scissors
Fabric in your chosen design, big enough to make your desired flare size
Sewing machine or needle and thread
Sewing pins
