Anthony Pratt sat at home with his wife, day after day, unable to do the things they loved. They couldn’t see friends or go to restaurants or attend parties. They were stuck inside.

This wasn’t 2020 during a pandemic, but more than 70 years ago during WWII in Britain. Air raids forced people inside and, as you can probably relate, it became very monotonous.

To pass the time, Pratt and his wife Elva invented the game that would become one of the most successful board games of all time - a murder mystery game called Clue.

Deseret News spoke to Marcia Lewis, Pratt’s daughter, and got to the bottom of the mystery of one of the world’s most famous murder mystery games.
