Another nation that built amazing structures just like the people of A'ad.
This is the story of people of Thamud and how they were destroyed.

They used to carve out mountains. In Petra Jordan, there are ruins of prophet Saleh feeling secure from Allah's punishment.

Water, wind, earthquakes; nothing can harm us.
Allah created the mountains, you don't think he can destroy them

He asked his people to ask Allah for forgiveness.
Prophet Saleh was being groomed to be their future leader. But now he becomes a prophet and then his people said: "We had high hopes of you". Are you going to stop us from what our forefathers used to worship?

They asked for a miracle - they said to bring a she-camel from the mountain. Their request was granted but the camel was not to be harmed. She could drink one day and people could drink the other day.

They didn't like the idea so they decided to kill it. 9 people planned it, one person made the move to kill it but the whole nation destroyed.

Now they said to bring the punishment just like people of Aa'd.
An awful cry like a sound wave came and it destroyed the people of Thamud.
