Launch Event In Celebration of World Metrology Day 2024

Metrology, the science of measurement, is being celebrated for the first time as an international day observed by UNESCO. Throughout the launch event, keynote speakers stressed on the pivotal impact of metrology on global efforts towards establishing a sustainable economy and environment for future generations. This launch event was organized by UNESCO, the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) and the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML), with the support of the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan to UNESCO, and under the umbrella of the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable development (IDSSD).
