Are Cheap PCIE riser cables worth buying?

In this video I compare a cheap $10.00 PCIE Riser cable to a quality $40.00 PCIE Cable from Thermaltake to see if all PCIE cables are created equal.

All games were tested using my Sapphire Vega 64 Reference card and Asus Maximus Viii Hero motherboard. My CPU is an intel i7 6700k overclocked to 4.6 ghz. My memory is 32GB of G.skill DDR 4 ripjaws V overclocked to 2700mhz. I am using a custom profile for my Vega 64 and the settings are as follows: The GPU is Undervolted to 1105mv,, a .5% overclock was applied to the stock clock speeds, Memory is overclocked to 1105mhz. Power limit is set to max +50% amd the fan curve is set from 2845 RPM-3775RPM.

All games were tested at 1440p and used the highest available presets. In a few cases I applied further customs settings to enhance the quality further.

All Synthetics were run using their default settings with the exception of Heaven which is run using max settings at 1440p.
