One more Redmi phone under Redmi 9 series is launched in India Redmi Note 9. The pricing starts from ₹11,999 for 4GB, 64GB and available upto ₹14,999 for 6GB, 128GB. Also this marks the first non-pro redmi note phone priced above ₹10,000 in India.
Redmi Note 9 has solid and glass back body and the frame is made of plastic. The Corning gorilla glass 5 on both the sides should be durable and comes to the rescue. The overall design definitely resembles it's brother Redmi note 9 pro. There is triple card slot for no compromise and the SD card slot supports upto 512GB. Both the SIMs support 4G Volte and Wifi calling as well. The IR blaster is untouched in the Redmi note line up and same is available on this phone as well.
There 6.5" FHD+ IPS LCD display that has 19.5:9 ratio panel with 350+PPI. The front looks mostly display and less bezel, thanks to the punch hole camera that is placed side of the display that cause least inconvenience while watching videos. The display also has Gorilla Glass 5 protection. No HDR10 support but supports Widevine L1.
Four cameras on back are 48MP, 8MP, 2MP and 2MP cameras restricted to shoot only at 1080p@30fps due to the downgrade of main camera from 64MP to 48MP. Front 13MP punch hole camera can as well shoot at 1080p@30fps.
Sports Mediatek Helio G85 chipset which is the newest in the town and the Antutu benchmark test proved this chipset is no less with 2 lakh+ score.
Runs on Android 10 with MIUI 11 skin on top and expecting MIUI 12 very soon.
To keep you contented with the phone there's 5020 mAh battery that can last long upto 2 days with moderate usage. The 22.5W fast charger helps to full charge from zero within 2.5 hours which is quite good considering the capacity of the battery.
Has both fingerprint scanner placed on back and face unlock feature via front 13MP camera and both of them work super fast.
