Sula Mae - Tempted

I wrote this song this morning for a challenge called #thirtyworks where you have to submit a piece of art each day of April following a theme/ inspiration. Today’s challenge was to create work by doing what brings you joy. I wrote this song in my garden this morning. The sun was shining and the neighbourhood cat came and said hi. Sunshine brings me joy, as does writing and singing songs.

I’ve been thinking a lot about how my life could have been different if I’d chosen differently at certain sliding doors moments. It felt good to put words to that and not let it lay stagnant in my heart, making it heavy. In the end we’re all floating upstream trying to find our way home. I hope this song brings some reassurance for anyone going through a wobbly uncertain time in their life. It was all perfect xx
