First, open a CAD model. Zw3D supports many different file formats. For example, igs files.
Click this icon to go into CAM module.
First step, create a stock for machining. You can adjust these dimensions for a suitable stock.
With the inquire tool, measure part size.
Next, we can define the machining operation.

For this model, Pick “topface cut” operation, define machining object, then define machining tool. Tool library is available for programmers. After that, system can calculate tool path.

Then with the tool path verify function, overall tool motion can be verified, or specific motions within the path.
Besides that, solid verify is provided. According to the stock and model, system shows you a machining simulation.

Next, define machine, select the suited post based on practical NC system.
After that, we can output the program to an assigned folder.
Right click the operation, then output to NC file.

In the last step, an operation list would be the output. It records the program name, tool parameters, machining time and so on. It is a very useful file for workers.

Ok. That is a general CAM workflow.
