Misadventures of Minifer Episode 13

Another #parenting video. This isn't a funny one about something he's said. This week, the episode is about the struggles of getting minifer to drink enough and to stay hydrated.

Obviously not all children that are absorbed in what they are doing and having an "out of sight out of mind" moment are going to be neurodivergent. The point of this video is so that fellow parents don't feel alone.

I'm a neurodivergent mum raising a neurodivergent child, we have our struggles. But it doesn't feel right to punish minifer for something he can't control, especially when it's something I struggle with, too. Work WITH your children to help them find what works for them, as punishing them for how their brain works isn't giving them the safe space they need. Yes, it's frustrating because you just want what's best for your kiddo, but working with them and listening to what they say they think will help, will go a long way to making everyone's lives easier. #parenting #parentingstruggles #youarenotalone you got this 🩵
