Researchers at the Center for Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science (DIMACS) and the Command Control and Interoperability Center for Advanced Data Analysis (CCICADA) partner with national, regional, and state agencies. Using data, modelling, and computational tools, Rutgers addresses problems of security and privacy in a big data world.
They work with the Department of Homeland Security, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the National Football League and the Coast Guard to help secure transportation infrastructure, entertainment venues, and large public spaces, and prepare for, and respond to, natural and man-made disasters.
