After the long and grueling battle against it, Scarlet Briar's enormous destructive Marionette lies in broken pieces in Lornar's Pass. One can view a vista from atop its remains now.

There is very little sense of victory as my character stands atop the shattered Marionette. Scarlet has still managed to assault and destroy the majority of Lion's Arch despite the loss of her supposed doomsday weapon. It makes one wonder why the developers had players fight the thing at all. It seems almost like a filler, some random thing to do in the meantime until the next haphazard bit of storyline was introduced. Perhaps they threw it in because they thought it would be cool, regardless of whether or not it made sense. Big battles to draw big crowds... but was it a good idea? I'd heard more complaints than praise from other people when it came to the Marionette event. My impression (and I'm sure others' as well) was that it was ultimately the loot and achievements to be gotten from the event that spurred players to participate in it, not the excitement of the event itself. To me, that seems a little sad. It means a well-crafted story does not truly matter (you can tack any explanation onto anything and use a twisted enough logic so that it SEEMS to make sense). The developers can throw whatever nonsensical events they want at us. As long as the loot drops are good the majority of people will mindlessly do them. No questions asked about the logic of this or that. In the end, only the shinies matter...
