This video presents a torch flame seen with a SWIR Camera, the C-RED 2 from First Light, and an Iphone 13 Pro.

📸 The CRED-2 is a High-Speed Cooled SWIR Camera. It is able to detect between 0.9 and 1.7 μm with more than 70% Quantum Efficiency (reaches 90% at -40C) thanks to a top of the art InGaAs sensor.
It integrates a VGA (640X512) 15μm pixel pitch and 9.60 X 7.68 mm array with 3 levels of gain.

🔥 In this video taken in our Somerville lab, we use the CRED-2 (not cooled) to look at a torch flame in SWIR.

👁‍🗨 Using the software First Light Imaging we are able to reduce the size of the area of interest and therefore improve the acquisition speed, going up to 3374Hz with a 3µs exposure time.

🔎 Comparing what we see with our eyes thanks to the Iphone camera, we realize that the flame is longer in SWIR area. Moreover, the speed of the aquisition allows us to see a darker area. We end up with a question:
