Must-Visits in Hue, Vietnam - Exploring the Abandoned Water Park & Royal Tombs in Hue

After exploring Vietnam’s rich history at the Hue Imperial City, trying the delicious royal cuisine and coffee culture, we are heading for a scooter adventure outside the city this week! Our main stop is the fascinating Hue abandoned water park. This eerie site has gained popularity online for its iconic dragon-shaped statue in the middle of Thuy Tien Lake. Despite being run-down and covered in graffiti, the Dragon has become a popular spot for Instagrammers seeking unique photo opportunities. If you love exploring strange or abandoned places, this spooky water park is a must-visit in Hue. It’s easily one of the coolest spots for photography in all of Asia.

Afterward, we checked out more imperial landmarks, visiting the royal tombs scattered around Hue. While there are seven tombs in total, the most commonly visited are Tu Duc, Khai Dinh, and Minh Mang. You can combine these historic sites with a countryside scooter ride and a visit to the abandoned water park!
