Thoughts:
Yes you can put a second patch on the inside when you get home and it's not a bad idea. The 3M rubber glue comes in different types. I have tested pr40,100,600 and 1500 glues and all work well. The difference is simply the thickness of the glue. The 1500 is going to be gel like and the 40 is like water. Here's the deal; the thinner the application the stronger the bond. So 1500 gel will work just as well as pr40 just make sure you squeeze out the excess and it will work excellent.
