Toontrack Session Organ EKX 101 | How it works

So here's a little 101 of the Session Organ EKX for EZ Keys 2 by ‪@toontrack‬ in Sweden. It features the Hammond B3 Electric Organ & the Leslie 122 Rotary Amplifier. The Hammond Organ (invented in 1934 by Laurence Hammond) was originally made as a less expensive alternative to the Pipe Organ as it's more compact. It's more compact due to the way it produces sound which instead of having Pipes that create the sound it has Tonewheels (91 to 96 of them) that spin in front of Magnetic Pickups to create the sound, & when you hit a key, it completes the connection which allows the tonewheel sound to come out of the amplifier. This is a Leslie 122 Rotary Amp which was invented by Donald Leslie (who just died 20 years ago) & it was intended to allow the Hammond to further emulate a Pipe Organ by having a Rotating Horn & Drum that spin to deflect the sound which emulates the Pipe Organ's Nuance. The Drawbars are basically your Stops that slide in & out to allow for different volume levels of various pitches.
