United Against Malnutrition and Hunger is an alliance bringing together leaders from scientific, business, finance, military, diplomatic, faith and civil society backgrounds to press for the UK to play its part in global efforts to end malnutrition and hunger.

The alliance launch was hosted at Unilever’s HQ in London by broadcaster Swarzy Macaly and introduced by UAMH CEO, Jonny Oates. It heard from prominent speakers including former Foreign Secretary and current President of the International Rescue Committee, David Miliband; former UK Prime Minister, David Cameron; and UNICEF’s Somalia Country Representative Wafaa Saeed.

A panel chaired by UAMH Co-Chair, Baroness Liz Sugg included the Bishop of Dover, Bishop Rose Hudson-Wilkin; Mike Khunga, a Malawian nutritionist, youth advocate and member of UAMH’s Global Leadership Council; Rebecca Marmot, Chief Sustainability Officer for Unilever; and Royal Air Force Air Marshal (ret’d) Sir Graham Stacey who is currently Policy and Research Director at the European Leadership Network and also a member of our Global Leadership Council.
