Under the Redcoat was one of the best special events Colonial Williamsburg used to have. Here Reenactors of the British army portraying the advance guard of Lord Cornwallis' forces take the town. They would eventually be followed by the army, engineers, and supply wagons. Martial Law would be declared; sentry posts and patrols established; and just about any activity you would expect from an occupying army would take place (and more).

This is not the best recording but as the event does not seem to be returning any time soon I am uploading it and may in time upload more such videos. If you would like to see this event return please politely let Colonial Williamsburg know.
