Big Brown Bear Watercolour #18

I enjoyed layering the colours on this bear painting, he really developed as he went on.

I first do a rough outline with watercolour pencils then go on to the main painting. I usually start with the eyes then just go with the flow. I'm using watercolour tubes from WH Smith on A4 190 gsm watercolour paper.
I mostly use a fine soft brush number 4 from ProArte, and a cheap stuff bristled number 3 brush.
