North East, Maryland

Описание к видео North East, Maryland

This video is part of my “Terri Jo’s on the go” series. I’m on Main Street in North East, a town in Cecil County, Maryland. The population was 3,572 at the 2010 census. The town is approximately 2.11 square miles. The Gilpin’s Falls Covered Bridge featured at the end of this video boasts an interior structure that utilizes is a kingpost with a Burr Arch structure. It was invented in 1804 by Theodore Burr. The bridge was built circa 1860. The bridge is one of the few covered ones remaining in Maryland and the only one on public ground in Cecil County.
