Dave first starts out by explain the difference between faith and belief and how obedience is an outworking of faith and trust in God and not in yourself. Dave explains what it means to walk by the spirit or to walk in faith and that Jesus is the originator and perfecter of faith in us. Some of the verses that are used are:

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Heb 12:2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the originator and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

2Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new
