The Kingdom of Nri, known as Ọ̀ràézè Ǹrì in Igbo was a medieval polity located in the present-day Nigeria. The kingdom was a sphere of religious and political influence controlled by a priest-king called an eze Nri who managed trade and diplomacy on behalf of the Nri people, as well as had divine authority in religious matters.
